Hi everyone, I'm Jordan, working as 4D Lix on Somali Pirates, a Mega Drive / Genesis homebrew game.

The game connects sailing and navigation, ship chases, boarding fights and patrol combat, with port visits, crew management and wildlife in between. It's still in development, and I'd appreciate feedback on how the different modes feel together.
The montage uses actual emulator captures from the September 27 development build. It shows chase/grapple, boarding, patrol combat, a port, dolphins and a boss encounter. This build is ahead of the public demo, so not everything shown is in the download yet.
Free early ROM and updates: https://4dlix.itch.io/somali-pirates
If you try it, please share feedback on the controls and pacing. For bugs, include the ROM filename, emulator/hardware, what happened and how to reproduce it.
AI tools have assisted the project's code, art, audio and text; the itch page includes the disclosure. These screenshots are captured from the running game.
Thanks for taking a look!
